Once Elizabeth could no longer be alone during the day, she moved in with her son and daughter-in-law.  In the summer of 2014, they saw her deteriorating and not eating well. She seemed lethargic and bored. They worried about the TV being on all day and the amount of time Elizabeth slept during the day.  They heard about The Guest House from her doctor.

Her son toured The Guest House, and told her, “Mama, I found a really good place…..you’re going to like it and you can come home with me every night!”

Following an assessment, Elizabeth started attending Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.  She fit right in and liked the food. Elizabeth enjoys the music, games, dances, devotionals and crafts.  She likes to help clear the tables and “take care” of others.  She has friends here and can rest with Staff nearby if she’s feeling like a nap.  Her children count on the Staff to let them know about any concerns.

Elizabeth benefits from being around others during the day in a safe, secure environment.  Her son tells us often:  “Without The Guest House, I don’t know what we would do.”
