The Community Council on Aging
The Gainesville Hall County Community Council on Aging was formed in 1985 to gather information, advocate for seniors and provide funding assistance for Meals on Wheels and other programs for seniors. A 501c3 nonprofit organization, The Council meets monthly at the Gainesville Hall County Community Service Center. The Council is made up of area professionals who work in Senior Care as well as Volunteers from the community who care about the issues of Aging and advocate for coordinated community efforts.

The Gainesville Hall County Senior Life Center
The Gainesville Hall County Senior Life Center, a nationally accredited senior center is open to persons 60 years of age or older who reside in Hall County. As a wellness and nutrition site, the Senior Life Center features a cardio fitness room, weekly exercise classes, blood pressure screenings, and a nutritious hot lunch.

Legacy Link, Inc. – Area Agency on Aging (AAA)
The Legacy Link, Inc. is designated by the Georgia Department of Human Resources as the “Area Agency on Aging (AAA)” for the 13 county region including Banks, Dawson, Forsyth, Franklin, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Lumpkin, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union and White counties. The AAA can provide advocacy for seniors and families. The AAA specializes in Medicaid Programs for those who qualify. Call their Gateway Department for Information.
