Healing through the Arts is an ongoing therapeutic art program that began from a grant though the Northeast Georgia Community Foundation to Quinlan Visual Arts Center.

Healing Through The Arts for 2017 at The Guest House has been funded through a grant from the Jackson EMC Foundation.

Healing Though the ArtsMore than simply an art class, it is a valuable life enrichment opportunity. Over the past three years the Quinlan has successfully expanded community outreach in the arts to provide for underserved members of the community. Until recently, most of the programs have been limited to opportunities to children. In 2014, the Quinlan began making services to senior citizens a priority.

Quinlan Artists partnered with The Guest House in January of 2015 to provide the first classes. Specially trained artists and art educators teach portable art classes, offering meaningful activities that provide support, stimulation and social interaction. Based upon other successful area outreach programs each class results in a finished project which are displayed in The Guest House dining room. Projects include painting, sculpture, ceramics, book making, mosaics and more.

All outreach programs are developed directly from feedback from members of our community. Each program represents a unique opportunity to make a valuable and far reaching impact on the quality of life in Northeast Georgia through the visual arts.
